The most effective way to communicate your opinions.
---------------------------- How do you contact your political representatives these days? --------------------------------------
- Email?: Some representatives only take email from their own constituents or contributors even though they are dealing with broader issues. - Phone?: It's frequently difficult to get through or get someone to make your point to, and your call may be ignored or forgotten as soon as the call ends. - In Person: Next to impossible unless it's between sessions.. Especially if the issue is imminent.
- Surface Mail: Security restrictions can leave your letter in the mail room for days or even weeks after the issue is addressed.
Why not try postcards, instead?
You can send them to anyone, including any representative from any district or location.
They command attention - Everybody that sees a postcard reads it, especially picture postcards, it's human nature.
No filtration or blocking of your message by the staff. No 'security handling' delays in the mail room.
Your opinion will be delivered. The recipient has to handle them in some way, they cannot be completely ignored.
Low cost. Current postage is 28 cents and most postcards cost pennies, or make your own from card stock.
-[Note: USPS size limits: Minimum: 3-1/2 inches high by 5 inches long by 0.007 inch thick / Maximum: 6 inches long by 4-1/4 inches high.]
---So pick something relevant, state your opinion, and get it in the mail.---
Postcards are the best way to tell your representative: "I wish you were HERE (to hear from me)"
